Week number 7 in the CFL was full of blowouts along with just one close game . It started off with Winnipeg laying down an absolute romping of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Milt Stegal night . After the game was delayed 2 hours and 40 minutes due to severe weather in Winnipeg , the Bombers shot out of the gates and by half-time it was all over . At the half the Blue and Gold were up 34-0 with three touchdowns coming in the first 10 minutes of the game . The Ti-Cats did muster up enough offense in the second half to break the shutout but 11 points was not enough . Winnipeg ’ s Justin Medlock finished the game with a field goal to make the final score 37-11 . Another rough start for my picks this week but it would only get better from there . On Thursday Calgary spoiled Darian Durant ’ s return to the Riders with a 35-15 victory . Durant looked good completing 17 / 28 for 247 yards and a touchdown with no interceptions . Stamps quarterback out-dueled Durant and completed 25 / 37 for 312 yards and one touchdown while keeping Calgary at the top of the West Division . The second game on Thursday saw Montreal try its best to keep up with the BC Lions . They held their own until the Lions broke out with 15 points

in the fourth quarter to take the win by a score of 38-18 . BC quarterback Jonathon Jennings had yet another spectacular night completing 27 passes for 331 yards along with one TD and one interception . Jennings showed great composer after throwing two late interceptions last week against the Stampeders . The final game of the week was a close one , as it came down to a field goal with 1:31 remaining to decide the victory . After the first 10 minutes of the fourth quarter , Edmonton was up 20-13 and the RedBlacks needed a quick strike to tie the game . Returning quarterback Henry Burris lead the drive that lead to the game being tied with 2:28 left in the game . On the next play , RedBlacks safety Jermaine Robinson picked off a deep ball and returned it 48-yards and got into field goal range for Ottawa kicker Chris Milo who sealed the deal with under 2 minutes to go . Ottawa stole the “ W ” with a 23-20 final score . Going 3-1 this week moves me up to 5-3 on the season ! My picks this week are Edmonton , Winnipeg , Calgary , and BC .
Big news from the MLB on Sunday as Ichiro Suzuki has hit his 3000th major league hit becoming just the 30th player to do so . Ichiro is the second oldest player to reach 3k and only the third player to get it with a triple . Another story out of the Bigs is the collapse of

Alex Rodriguez , the Yankees DH has been struggling as of late and just can ’ t seem to get anything going . A-Rod was being payed 252 million dollars in his contract and was rolling over the past couple years . But after admitting to performance enhancing drug use , his career has gone down hill . On Sunday , Rodriguez stepped down from the game . The Yankees will continue to play A-Rod until Friday if he wants to . The 14-time All-Star will stay with New York as an advisor and will continue to work with the team from the booth .
The 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio kicked off on Friday and by Sunday , Canada had won two medals and both by the same athlete . Sixteen-year-old swimmer Penny Oleksiak won a silver medal in Women ’ s 100m butterfly , and a bronze medal in the 4x100m freestyle relay . Also a huge victory for the Canadian Men ’ s Volleyball team as they defeated the number five ranked United States team in straight sets . This was Canada ’ s first Olympic Men ’ s Volleyball match since 1992 , the twelfth ranked Canadians look to show that it was no fluke as they take on the number one ranked Brazilians in their next match on Tuesday . The Canadian Women ’ s Soccer team has their first win as they defeated the heavily favoured Australians . Canadian player Janine Beckie scored the fastest goal in Olympic soccer history just 20 seconds into the match . It looks like our nation is off to a good start to these Olympics as we hope to surpass our medal total of 18 which we racked up in London 2012 .

Tracy and Rachel Cocks from Infinity Salon and Spa in Martensville travelled to Boston , Massachusetts June 4-8th to educate themselves about Living Proof , the new product line they have in their salon . Infinity Salon and Spa was looking for a unique product line to bring into the salon , when their search led them to testing a few products from Living Proof . Within three days they fell in love and decided to carry the whole line .
Tracy and Rachel made the trip to Boston to visit the Living Proof labs : “ We went to their style lab and got to go through their entire product line and attend two days of styling . We also were able to visit their bioengineering lab where we learned more about their ingredients and preliminary testing . One of the most important things we learned was about two Living Proof patented molecules : PBAE , which is a volume molecule for hair that actually attaches itself to your hair strand , and OFPMA which is a health hair molecule that protects hair from frizz , debris , and humidity ,” stated Rachel .
Infinity Salon and Spa has brought in all eight Living Proof sub-lines , including : PHD ( Perfect Hair Day ), Style Lab , No Frizz , Full , Restore , Curl , Control , and Timeless . “ The Timeless line is great for more mature hair , when your grey comes in this product helps keep it soft ,” said Rachel . One of the most exciting Living Proof products is the Flex hairspray , “ a lot of hairsprays harden your hair and can result in your hair breaking off . Flex bends with your hair movement – it ’ s one of my favourite products ,” commented Rachel .
“ The PHD shampoo and conditioner are designed to keep your hair cleaner for longer . Even with incredibly oily hair , after a few consecutive uses of the shampoo and conditioner , most are able to go at least 4 days longer than you usually would . The PHD

dry shampoo is the only one on the market that actually cleanses the hair of dirt and oils where other brands simply mask the grease with powder or add pigment to cover debris . It also has a time-release fragrance to give freshness throughout your week !” commented Tracy .
Infinity Salon proudly commits to education and always keeping on top of the latest trends and techniques . Rachel hopes to become a Living Proof enthusiast , in which she would travel and learn new and upcoming techniques , bringing knowledge back to Infinity Salon and Spa . “ We ’ re proud of our reasonable prices , professionalism and certifications for specific services ,” said Rachel .
Infinity Spa and Salon are so excited about the Living Proof line , they are offering a special : Purchase a Living Proof shampoo and conditioner and receive a complimentary mini Humidity Shield ( our favourite product from the No Frizz line ). It provides heat protection up to 450 degrees and 100 % protection from humidity !
