Now that winter is officially upon us, it’s time to rug up and experience all that
Melbourne has to offer throughout the colder months.
The city really does come alive in winter; the Melbourne International Jazz Festival
begins on June 3 and is a fantastic event for aficionados and novices alike. There will
be over 500 talented musicians taking to the stage, so head along to the city’s concert
halls, jazz clubs and arts venues to experience the music for yourself.
Melbourne is home to an impressive array of wine bars. The best are ideal for winter
meals and get togethers over fantastic wines and exceptional food. We’ve rounded up
a few of our favourites.
Finally, The NGV’s annual Winter Masterpieces exhibition is back and set to draw
bigger crowds than ever in 2016. Over 200 pieces by the French Impressionist Edgar
Degas, curated by the world’s foremost Degas expert, will be on display.
