fitness Get ready for the summer! In this edition I will share with you a few of exercises that can be added in to pump up your current training plan or can be done as a separate and isolated workout. Whether you are a pro or amateur polo player, or just enthusiastic about fitness and health, these exercises will help you to get started and will give you a great full body workout that will help you to get closer to all your fitness goals. Gyms can often be boring, with a lack of attention and information given to help customers. What I'm gonna do for you (PQ readers) is to give you exclusive access to the exercises outlined below in a JPG format that can be downloaded directly on to your phone or tablet. This will allow you to take the workout out with you and access to the exercises wherever you are. It’s also the time for polo players to start thinking about their fitness condition in order to be able to face the English season with maximum power and energy. Polo utilises the core muscles, the stronger they are the stronger you can play, and this just so happens to be the muscle group that most people are keen to work on and get toned for the summer so let’s kill two birds with one stone. Ok so now for the meaty bit. Always remember to warm up and cool down before and after every workout. Warming up will increase your body temperature, prepare your nervous system, and activate your muscles. Your cool down will help you to recover faster and will get you ready for the next time you exercise. By Martín Perez 52
