Best for Worship.
Best in Times of Need.
On Sunday 12th June, it was my honour to
attend, on your behalf, the Patron’s Lunch
on The Mall, with fellow board members,
LWPT staff and our National Advocate, the
Revd John Bolton. Although the weather was
dreary, the good spirits of all 10,000 guests
who attended prevailed and a wonderful
time was had by everyone as we celebrated
Her Majesty’s 90th birthday.
At the time of writing this foreword, the Grants Committee have just met
and a further 17 people have been successful in their application for a grant
from us. It was fantastic to see all of their applications and read about
the intentions of these preachers, and would-be preachers, from across
the United Kingdom. Please pray for them as they explore this calling into
ministry.
In our spring issue of Ichthus, we included information about our Low
Sunday appeal where many churches take a collection in aid of the work
of LWPT. This year we also opened this appeal up to individuals. I am very
pleased to say that the appeal has raised over £6,500. We are so grateful to
all those who have donated as part of this appeal, which will further fund
the various benevolent works LWPT is able to undertake. Thank you!

Dates for the Diary
We continue to receive the highest praise regarding Preach magazine and
we have been out and about at the Methodist Conference and CRE
International over the past couple of months - where our team has been
delighted to meet some of you! Your continued positive response to Preach
is very reassuring and we have had an encouraging number of new
sign-ups to the magazine since our summer issue.
Please pray for us as we meet in October for our next trustees meeting. We
ask that we receive wisdom, unity and clarity as we lead LWPT through its
continuing development and growth.
Once again, thank you so much for your continued support of LWPT and the
work we do.
