Welcome to the second edition of The Conscience Collective's Gift Guide. It has been three years since the last official Guide, and as I write this from my bed at the parents' home in Washington DC, I am quite pleased to finally be at the stage where I can release some of the most beautiful items I have found this year.
For those of you familiar with the blog, The Conscience Collective was founded by Emma H. and myself, but as life has caught up with Emma--mainly the plethora of ethical brands she is spearheading in Trinidad--that I am now in charge of the blog (for now). However, Emma, was very happy to share her most coveted products for 2016 (page 14).
This year, the Gift Guide focuses on the most beautiful products in The Ultimate Ethical Gift Guide (page 13), which poses considerable issues for myself, as this is definitely a Stacy list--i.e. I want everything. As a recent mother, it was also important that I included gifts for the little ones in "babes + TOTS" (page 27).
As we often get caught up in the receiving of gifts, this year's Guide also highlights those gifts that also give back to others in need (page 5). It is important that we champion those people who, in creating some of the most beautiful objects in the world, make such a drastic difference in their lives and the lives of others.
Also, look out for exclusive promotions from some of the brands featured (page 33) and a giveaway in collaboration with Faire Collection (page 11).
If this Guide could make the slightest difference to how we consume, especially during Christmas, I have done my job. I hope you enjoy the guide, and find it useful to your journey in living and celebrating consciously.
