The Claremont How did you arrive at your signature style with its classic and contemporary blend? What collection of experiences inspires you? Style is something I believe is cultivated and nurtured over time and mine is a reflection of what I’ve seen and admired most. My own style evolution has grown organically from multiple trips around the globe. Nothing inspires me more than a new setting and someplace I’ve never been. Curiosity is key. I’ve had the honor of working in the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, Africa, India, China, Macau, Mexico and South America and beyond. It’s enlightened my design sensibilities more than words can say. It has made me brave. Growing up in a military family, we trained to relocate quite frequently and frankly it fed into my thirst for adventure. Our past is our future, what pushes us forward and the future is one of strength, creativity, and innovation. Many of your clients are luxury brand hotels and celebrities. You’ve just received the initial brief. What is your next step? Where do you and your team start? All projects start in virtually the same place. The team sits down and scripts a collaborative approach on what we would like to do and how we want to attack it. Much research and homework gets done to lay the groundwork before the clients are circled back into the
