investments in Croatian tourism in the last couple of years : the construction of Lone Hotel , a showcase of Croatian creativity due to the involvement of the 3LHD Architectural Studio , as well as many Croatian designers and artists of the younger generation . Lone is also the first and only member of the Design Hotels group which stands as a synonym for excellence in hotel architecture and design , and in the balance between functionality and superb service . In the last two years we saw a complete reconstruction of the oldest hotel in Rovinj – Adriatic – and the opening of the first true family hotel in this region – Family hotel Amarin . The Park hotel project , valued at nearly 80 million euros , will mark the completion of this phase in the development of of our tourist product . This also constitutes the largest investment in Croatian tourism in this year – a distinction supported by others as well . The opening of the hotel is planned for 2018 . It should be noted that some of the best local and global architects and designers took part in this project , including the studio of Piero Lissoni , one of the most esteemed and world-famous Italian designers .
It was exactly this kind of products , what they offer , and the quality of service they provide , that brought about the direct change in the composition of the guests , as well as in the daily occupancy rate , and enabled the prolongation of the tourist season .
Aside from investments in raising the quality of its own facilities , Maistra is also continually focused on developing interesting programs and events in order to additionally motivate the guests to visit this destination . This is evidenced by the Rovinj Beach Polo Cup , the first and only polo event on sand organized in this part of the world , which will be held again this year from 18 to 21 May .
