4. RICH, DARK HUES your colors can bring your luxe theme to life if you choose them right. Rich hues such as
plum paired with fuschia pink and purple is always a winner. You wouldnt have to do much especially if you use
bold textured linens. Adding glitz and sequins to some tables especially those close to the dance floor will create
an effortless WOW effect as soon as guests walk in.
5. UPLIGHTED! for a huge decor effect invest in fully washing the walls of your venue with LED uplighting. You
can save a good $800 - $1600 off your total budget by booking a venue that comes with an uplighting package.
The color possibilities are endless but choose a color that will complement your overall decor not hide it. Create
focal points on your centerpieces with spot lighting or better yet speak to your venue manager, most of them
have recessed spotlighting in the ceiling and can focus each on a centerpiece and you wouldn’t even have to pay
extra.
6. CANDLELIT! If the idea of having tall lush floral centerpieces on each guest table puts a huge dent in your
budget then consider a candlelit reception. Candles are really affordable and using lots of them in mini glass
holders creates a luxurious look without the price tag. Stores like Dollar tree carry 8” glass vases which can be
used as candle holders. Accent them with a bling diamond wrap and VIOLA you are onto something. Fill them
with floating or pillar candles you can snatch at a great deal at IKEA and online wholesale stores.
7. STYLE THE CHAIRS Chiavari chairs are the order of the day but you can always dress up basic chairs to give
them a facelift. Forget the loose chair covers and sash and upgrade with a spandex chair cover accented with couture chair back such as a grouping of organza curly willows or a glitz sequin band for a cleaner look.
