WHERE TO LIVE NOW
I love Kingwood. It’s a family-centric place with easy access to both Downtown and Bush airport.
The environment is friendly, welcoming and supportive, with many organizations in the area geared toward
young children and their parents. Playgrounds and community pools in each of the villages offer fun, easy
places to congregate and socialize.
The myriad sports organizations and summer camps in the area appeal to children of all ages. The public
schools are great, and friends and neighbors actively celebrate one another’s accomplishments.
One of my favorite things about Kingwood is the greenbelt system. I walk the miles of trails through the woods, past
the lake and around the 150 acres of woodlands, wetlands and meadow in East End Park. Kingwood’s nickname, “The
Livable Forest,” fits perfectly. It is common to spot deer, rabbits, hawks, waterfowl, raccoons, possums and
armadillo. Alligators and feral hogs aren’t unheard of, either.
