ART ONLY IN HOUSTON Blockbuster Degas Show Bows At the MFAH This is one you won’t want to miss: Degas: A New Vision, a major retrospective showcasing some 230 works by artist Edgar Degas, is now open at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston – the sole U.S. venue to present the exhibition. Assembled from public and private collections around the world, Degas: A New Vision showcases the artist’s abiding interests across painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, and sculpture. This exhibition is organized by the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; the National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne; and Art Exhibitions Australia, and is supported by an indemnity from the Federal Council on the Arts and the Humanities. On view through January 16, 2017, Degas: A New Vision is supplemented by a host of related programs, including lectures, performances, gallery concerts, and family-friendly activities. Exhibition tickets are $23 for adults (19+); $18 for senior adults (65+ with ID), military (with DETAILS ID), college students (with ID), and youth (13–18); and free for children (12 and younger) and MFAH Members.
