A Tragic Favorite Opera in the Heights (Oh!) presents Giacomo Puccini’s La Bohème as the second offering of its 21st season, opening Friday, Nov. 11. The story follows a group of starving artists and lifelong friends who find joy amid poverty and transcendent love in the face of tragedy. Since its premiere in 1896, La Bohème has become a cornerstone of the standard repertoire as one of the most frequently performed operas worldwide. For those new to opera, it is the ideal “first piece,” and for devoted fans, there is still much to discover from our favorite Bohemians, Mimí, Rodolfo, and friends, in the intimacy of Lambert Hall.
