Tejas Treffen Roars into Town
Porsche collectors and enthusiasts Antonio Kawage, Michael
Meldrum, Rudy Mancinas and Neil Meissiner have partnered to
curate Tejas Treffen, a unique and meaningful fun event for classic
and current Porsche enthusiasts, planned as an annual event for
the city. The inaugural laid-back experience will be held at Spring
Street Studios November 19 – combining art and automotive
with food and drink showcasing the Porsche lineup from the 356
and 911 to the Transaxle and current modern water-cooled cars.
Outside, up to 80 cars from concours to outlaws will be displayed,
giving the event a unique feel.
Organizer and partner Antonio Kawage said, “Tejas Treffen is
the marriage of two words that encompass a region, Texas, and
a meeting. Tejas was the Native American spelling and phonetic
pronunciation for Texas in Spanish.
