KUMA BURGERS $$ Hot Dogs , Burgers , Fast Food | 3 Greenway Plaza 832.542.3528 Who would ’ ve thought one of the best burgers I ’ ve ever tasted ( so juicy !) would be in Greenway Plaza of all places . Definitely worth the visit even if you aren ’ t in the area . Also , watch out for this bald baby that ’ s always hanging around , she might try to eat your fries while you aren ’ t looking !

LUISA ’ S PASTA $$ Italian | 1200 McKinney St . | 281.513.6866 www . luisaspasta . com While the line was long , the wait was not . I placed my order at the register and by the time I walked the length of the counter , watching my food seamlessly be prepared by the three chefs who worked together flawlessly , the food was ready to go ! I paid at the register at the end of the counter and tried the chia dessert . The pasta was packaged in a cute , simple to-go box . It was a beautiful meal , even after walking back to the office . I got the Ponzo Chicken pasta dish . If I could have licked the box , I would have . It was delicious . I was delighted and impressed . Luisa ’ s is a great addition to downtown Houston and the Shops !

MADMAX BBQ $ Barbeque | 5435 Heatherbrook | 281.616.1664 This is the ABSOLUTE BEST BARBEQUE in Houston . I pulled up late in the evening and was greeted by the owner . This man is awesome . He asked me what I wanted .... sausage and ribs for my family . While he was making my order , we talked about an event that he sponsored in the community , he told me about his menu and even let me sample some shrimp . Baby , this shrimp was everything . This man must have received an A ++++++ in Customer Service 101 . The food : The smoke from the pit was speaking to my soul . Really , my soul . The ribs and sausage were absolutely amazing . The best barbecue that I have had ever in Houston . ( I am a woman of integrity so I wouldn ' t lie to you .) Don ’ t meet me there , beat me there . You won ’ t be disappointed . OUI DESSERTS $ Bakery , Desserts | 3411 Kirby Drive | 713.487.9788 Dessert is my favorite meal . I love absolutely anything sweet ! When I found this dessert shop , I was ecstatic . They have all kinds of cookies – and they ’ re delicious . Chocolate chip , pecan , snickerdoodle , oatmeal raisin and more . The chocolate cake was phenomenal . They also have macaroons , fruit tarts , Nutella and vanilla cake , and cupcakes . Everything is under $ 6 , if I remember correctly . I think it ’ s worth mentioning they have $. 50 Ozarka water . If you ’ re feeling adventurous , try the carbonated fruit drinks in the cooler ! The orange one is delish . The cherry on top was being able to sit by the windows overlooking the buildings and the hustle & bustle of the city . I ’ ll definitely be back .

RAMEN JIN $$ Ramen | 11181 Westheimer Dr . | 713.278.8702 Yum , yum , yum ! Their ramen has so much flavor ! Their tonkatsu is my favorite ramen . I also had corn for an added crunch . Their chashu don is also really delicious . You can ’ t go wrong with Ramen Jin ! I crave it all the time .

Staff is super-friendly , place is really clean , and they have such fresh and healthy options for a pretty decent price . My sister and I split the berry me bowl and juice flight ( which is a shot-sized sample of different juices they offer ). The berry me bowl was impressive , and really good . Everything in it was super-fresh ! The juice flight was a fun option , especially since we had no idea what to get . All were tasty , but our favorite was the juice called “ Core .” We also tried the iced honey mint coffee , which tasted pretty good to me but too sweet for my sister ’ s liking . I ’ m so happy this place finally opened and I can ’ t wait to go back to try other things on their menu !

Every time I have stopped in for food , I ’ ve had fantastic food . The seafood cambucha and the deal gulfo are amazing appetizers ( with HUGE portions of seafood ), and I ’ m obsessed with the carnita tacos with cactus tortillas ! Don ’ t forget to try the dulce de leche tres leches cake ... to die for ! Oh , if you ’ re looking for a good cocktail , look no further than the al fresco , made with watermelon juice and agave nectar . Will be back soon ( and often )!

STOKED TACOS & TEQUILA $$ Bars , Mexican | 2416 Brazos St . | 832.701.1973 www . stokedmidtown . com Love this place !!! I ’ ve already been twice since they ’ ve opened and it was great both times . The colorful decor makes for a really fun atmosphere . My first visit , I had the mole wings w / tomatillo ranch and the carnitas tacos . The wings are delicious !! And the ranch ..... to die for . I wanted to drink it ! The tacos , of course , were great too ! Second time around I had the brisket taquitos and my husband had “ the bag ” and a queso taco . The taquitos are definitely my new favorite ! My husband loved “ the bag ”... I swear he finished it in 3 minutes . We also had a couple of margaritas , which were fantastic ! I ’ ve also had the Pineapple Express , which I highly recommend . Overall , Stoked is an awesome new place with great food and drinks .

Like the other branches , it is of course a chill place to study or meet up with friends for some tea beverages . Menu is very similar and the prices are reasonable . Service is on point whenever it ’ s quiet but when the place is filled , expect a little bit of wait time . My go-to is Winter Melon Milk or Taro Smoothie ; nothing too fancy but it satisfies my craving . P . S . Shout out to Kelvin , Alex and Lorie for my past few visits , despite forgetting to check in . Thanks for the sweet service .
