LONDON BERRY APPAREL Graphically Passionate

When Vogue magazine says this about your brand : “ Creators of the ‘ Best Luxury Graphic Tops ’” – you know you are doing something right . That ’ s what Vogue said about ANDRE JACOB , one of the partners in London Berry Apparel . You ’ ll be hard-pressed to meet someone more casually passionate about what he does than Andre . He just kinda gets it . So much so that Barneys calls him to see what he ’ s working on . The day we met he was having a few limited edition pieces printed at Black Swan Printing ( next door to our studio ) for Top Shop , no less . Andre is always thinking ; even while he ’ s talking to me , the wheels are spinning . “ I am always designing . I don ’ t think there is a day that goes by that I am not designing or thinking about something I can put my graphics on .” London Berry is named after Andre ’ s daughter , and they will put their designs on anything – shirts , blouses , jeans , dresses , even sneakers . Andre still gets a kick out of seeing people wearing his designs and not having a clue he ’ s behind them . His inspiration comes from travel , curiosity , living in 3D and more pressing social issues . “ When I see social issues of the homeless , injustice because of income or color of skin , it makes me think how I can address this with design .” For 2017 , there will be more custom collaborations with the aforementioned , as well as hopefully a few more with Tom Ford , Coach and Whole Foods .
