And order the divine creation that is the truffled egg salad with market greens , parmesan and aioli on a soft and salty pretzel bun . It is the true definition of delicious and easily the best egg salad I ’ ve ever had in my 25 years of being alive . And coming from a vegetarian , you know this gal ’ s had her fair share so just trust me . All things considered , I ’ ve been craving it ever since I left .

The staff is also extremely friendly – one of them even came out and helped me back out of a particularly precarious parking spot . The single-loaded cheeseburger with fries is my go-to after a long day . They put a ton of different toppings on there , so I tend to pick and choose the ones I want . ( They ’ re all delicious , though I caution against the fried onions . They sound delicious but are pretty stringy / chewy and tend to all fall out when you try to eat a bite of the burger .) But really anything you order here is bound to be good !

I tried their bacon cheeseburger and their chipotle burger . The chipotle is definitely my favorite one !! The meat was so juicy and well-seasoned and not packed too tightly , the bacon was perfect crispy / chewy texture , the bun was soft but held up to the filling and had jalapeños in it !!!!, and the fries were great too ( both curly fries and regular fries were crispy on the outside with a tender middle ). I ’ d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an amazing burger .

I ate the fried corn first , in my car , then got out of my car , and ordered 3 more . I wish I was making that up , but on that day , I just couldn ’ t get enough ! Who knew fried corn could be so amazing ! At the end of the meal , my jeans were unbuttoned and I had a newly developed and impressively protruding ( and thank goodness reversible ) gut . I was still parked in the front of the restaurant , unmoved and completely schooled on real BBQ .

It reminds of Vertskebab which offers sandwiches and salads with their special type of meat . I love the fact that there is a parking lot in front of the restaurant so I don ’ t have to worry about parking on the street . The menu is pretty simple so if you are like me and have a hard time picking food from a million different option , you won ’ t have a problem here . I ordered a salad with the lamb and beef while my boyfriend had the donor sandwich with fish . I fell in love with my salad ( weird right ?). The salad portion was actually pretty big but I could not stop eating it ! The meats were so soft and juicy ! I also ate some of the sandwich and wow , it was pretty good . The bread was soft and crunchy and the fish was delicious .

I have been here a dozen times and have now tried almost everything . Tonight I got the Tikka Chicken and Flank Steak which are two favorites . Watch out for the kick on the Tikka Chicken . Wow !! The steak is always strong . The tots and the corn side are both really good , and worthy . The red velvet cake is super moist and tasty . They also provide a delicious caramel sauce for the cake . Crazy good . It can get very busy , but the service is fast and the environment is chill . They offer outside seating in the front and back , and good space inside in the AC . There is additional parking on the side streets when the lot is busy . The tacos range in price from $ 3.50 to $ 6.75 , with the average about $ 4.50 . An average meal here will cost you $ 16 – 20 . Well worth it . This place is worth a visit . You won ’ t be disappointed . It needs to be in your regular taco place rotation in Houston . And ... it ’ s open late !

LA FISHERIA $$ Seafood , Mexican , Salad | 213 Milam St . | 713.802.1712 This place in its entirety is absolutely top-notch . Not only was the environment unexpectedly pleasant , but the food was good and the service was fantastic . The price might be a little on the higher side considering its next to a college campus , but they have a good lunch special that I missed today , so will definitely go back to check that out soon . Also , I accidentally left my debit card at the table when I was leaving in a hurry , and I was at the signal at the end of the block when I heard my server run after me and give it back . It warmed my heart . Great service . I feel bad now because I feel like I should ’ ve tipped more ! Lol !

I ’ ve never been disappointed with what I ’ ve ordered . I always make a reservation because they do get very busy . Parking is valet . They offer both indoor and outdoor seating so specify your preference when making a reservation . On my most recent visit , I had the brunch there on a Saturday . They bring out complimentary muffins and scones for brunch . I ordered the shrimp and grits . The grits were perfectly cheesy ! The shrimp were large and flavorful , although I would have liked a little more sauce from the shrimp . I didn ’ t care for the fried leeks on top . In the past I ’ ve ordered the scallops for dinner , had the French toast for brunch and also had the Nutella iced coffee . You really can ' t go wrong with anything on their menu !

LUNA PIZZERIA $ Pizza , Salad , Sandwiches | 107 Yale St ., Ste . 400 832.834.7532 | lunapizzeria . com We are so excited that there is a new Luna Pizzeria right next to our apartment . They have the best pizza in Houston . I always get the margherita and my husband gets the spicy andouille . They are so delicious , the crust is perfect and the toppings are in perfect proportions . They have an amazing special on Tuesday where house wine and beers are only two dollars and they pour the glass to the rim . What a steal ! That , mixed with amazing pizza , means we ’ ll probably be here every Tuesday .
