Steak 48 played host to 3 glamorous red carpet
affairs at the gleaming new contemporary steakhouse at the game-changing River Oaks District.
More than 250 guests, sports icons and movers &
shakers came out for a series of exclusive sneak
preview dinners at the highly anticipated restaurant. The lively crowd enjoyed the upbeat tunes
and bustling atmosphere over wine, martinis and
craft cocktails while enjoying elaborate feasts from
the extensive menu. $43,000 was raised benefiting Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital on
Friday, Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star Chapter
on Saturday and Dress for Success on Sunday. The
crowd included Steak 48 owners – brothers Jeffrey
and Michael Mastro, Houston Texans QB Tom
Savage and wife Catie, the brand’s Senior Vice
President Oliver Badgio, Houston Astros Silver
Slugger Jeff Bagwell and wife Rachel and many
more.

EVENT: THE 2016 HOUSTON SYMPHONY BALL: CARNAVAL
WHERE: JESSE H. JONES HALL FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS
In the spirit of the theme, the 2016 Houston Symphony Ball:
Carnaval, chaired by Jana and Scotty Arnoldy, was one of
Houston’s most colorful! The Ball raised almost $1.5 million for the
Symphony’s Education and Community Programming. Samba
dancers and a couple of muscle boys greeted nearly 600 guests
while they enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres and perused the
silent auction items. Honored were Sybil F. Roos for the Ima Hogg
Philanthropy Award, Lindy and John Rydman, Spec’s Charitable
Foundation/Spec’s Wines, Spirits & Finer Foods for Mike Stude
Award for Enduring Artistic Vision and Robert Franz for Raphael
Fliegel Award for Visionary Leadership.
