Upon finishing this tutorial you will be able to register, log in and actively participate in a webinar
Webinars are virtual trainings generally one hour long that are conducted online with a group of participants and instructors. Participants use
the Internet to connect the group members with the instructors. To register and login, participants are directed to an Internet address. Please
review our Guide to Register/login.
Most webinars have one or two instructors and a moderator/host. Participants view a PowerPoint presentation and polling questions on their
computer. They listen to the instructors either via their computer speakers or headset. The participants may use the phone for audio/speaking or
a computer headset with microphone to interact in discussions and respond to questions asked by the instructors, similar to training conducted
in a classroom. For more information read our Frequently A sked Questions.

REPORT OF SOUTHEAST AREA GLT COORDINATOR – LION MARK MILLER, PCC:
MARK MILLER, PCC:
PCC Miller called attention to a printed report in each file. District Governors Elect and Vice District Governor Training is scheduled for April
10-12 (6:30 pm-11:00 am) Jasper (Woodbridge Inn). Reservations have been made starting on that Friday night. If for some reason you cannot
attend, please let him know. He would like to talk with the First Vice District Governors about the logistics for that weekend and what they
would like to see take place. They will meet with PCC Miller as soon as this meeting adjourns.
PCC Miller pointed out that there are two Dynamic Club Workshops: April 18, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, Baxley (District N) and May 2, 9:00 am –
3:30 pm, Jasper (District L). He would like to do that program in Districts I and O also. Per directions at the last Council Meeting concerning
Lions University, PCC Miller is hoping to do an Officer training school in the north and the south that would cover all Lions of Georgia and
call it Lions University. It will be held on June 13, 9:30-4:00 in Cordele (South) and June 27, 9:30-4:00 at the Lighthouse (North).
During the State Convention on Friday Morning PID Brian Sheehan will do a class on “Membership: Coming and Going.” He suggested that
if there is a Task Force to look at membership in the state, it should be mandatory that all members of that task force attend this workshop on
Friday morning. There will be nine topics for Saturday afternoon training including Ethics.
PCC Miller called attention to other events:
Faculty Development Institute: May 31 – June 3, 2015
USA/Canada Lions Leadership Forum: September 17-19 1st VDG Fred is putting together a bus for Georgia Lions
to attend. The Breakfast meeting would be Friday morning with the International President; this is just for Georgia Lions in attendance at the
Forum.
PCC Miller asked if Council would be interested in submitting a bid for the Forum, if Atlanta is not successful in its bid for the 2020
Convention. Any investigation into this possibility will wait until after the Board has made a decision on the 2020 International Convention.
DG Hubbard, 18-I, made a motion to approve the criteria presented for the new award. Motion seconded by DG Kelly, 18-O, and motion
11
carried.
