MBZIRC comprises three challenges plus a triathlon-type Grand Challenge incorporating the previous challenges . A total of 26 teams have been chosen out of a field of 134 candidates representing a number of academic and industrial organizations . Among the academic institutions joining the upcoming challenge are the University of Seville , the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology , Virginia Tech University , Beijing Institute of Technology , Paris - Saclay University , University of New South Wales , University of Applied Sciences Aachen , and King Abdullah University of Sciences and Technology .
