Sue Manery and Albert Donkerbroek
SACLA has had a long relationship with Mr . Albert Donkerbroek from Taber . He is a kind and generous gentleman and a loving and dedicated father to his daughter , Grace , whom we have supported for many years . In 2011 , Albert purchased a new house for Grace to ensure that she would have stability and comfort in her home as she aged .
In 2016 , Albert met with SACLA ’ s CEO , Sue Manery , to inform her of his decision to donate the house to SACLA . They recently finalized the property ’ s transfer . In explaining his rationale for this generous gift , Albert stated , “ I trust you and know that SACLA will continue to respect and support my daughter well in her home for years to come .”

C ommunity

Lethbridge is an amazing place to live . SACLA is the 19th largest employer in the city and we recognize and appreciate the many opportunities and diverse communities that exist within the city ’ s physical borders . Since 1980 , SACLA has played a major role in assisting the people we work for to move from a position of passive observer to meaningful contributor in their communities . We strongly believe that each and every one of us has the right and responsibility to contribute .
SACLA , as an organizational entity , also values community connections and understands the powerful impact that relationships can have on a person ’ s life . We are proud to co-host , with Geomattic Attic , an annual Community Cabaret that in 2016 saw Hippodrome playing to a sold out crowd . We are also most appreciative of the generous financial support received from numerous community businesses for this event .
