What has the media become? It seems to me that the media is now our control system, the media tells us what to want, buy, eat and listen to. They tell you who and who isn’t a criminal. Even Malcolm X said: “...the media is the most powerful entity, they have the power to make the innocent guilty and the guilty innocent and that’s power. Because they control the minds of masses."

If you are going to believe everything you see on the media you will find yourself hating people that are oppressed and loving ones that do the oppressing.

You look over to the television and see weight loss pills being advertised, and on your laptop there’s a million and one pop up ads referring to easy weight loss, or a miracle plant that will make you lose weight in days. It seems so wonderful to buy a product and lose weight instantly.

It's just these simple things have an impact on society. The amount of images and messages prove that the only answer to a happy life is to be thin. Media means to intsill in our brains that curves are undesirable, unwanted, ugly.

It’s not just teens and adults. Girls as young as seven, maybe even younger, fear being fat. Society has changed due to media, it has become much more crucial as one influences the other only by appearances.

We’re just not good enough anymore. Our minds have been programmed to believe that a slight curve on your body is an imperfection. Our mind, as a generation, is an entirely different place than that of a few decades. Where this guy hasn't got the toned body or the abs, and now he believes that he isn't good enough for the girls. Where a girl isn't thin, and hasn't got the perfect hair, and now she doesn't eat and hides behind a hooded jumper.

Society Fucking Sucks
