I was born in Paete , Laguna . It is revered as the woodcarving capital of the Philippines . Art has been a natural part of my formative years . I was told that , as early as three years old , I have been drawing with a pencil . That should explain why I can draw simultaneously with both hands . I can also draw with my feet .
The civil engineering course that I took broadened my perspective on shapes and sizes with mathematical foundation . As you may imagine , vast field mensuration and 3D analyses are endemic in various college projects . Yet a certain inner hunger to keep exploring other facets of art compelled me to take a formal art education in a university . Of course , it also felt good to finish a fine arts course quite like a mental sculpture project .
