CONTEMPORARY ART REVIEW raw truth . My perception is the sum of all these traces , lived emotionally and engraved onto my memory . It enables me to beget these new depictions of the land through my language .
When showing clear references to perceptual reality , your paintings convey a captivating abstract feeling that provide with dynamism the representative feature of your canvass , as Rencontre au Milieu de la Nuit . Would you shed light to your main sources of inspiration ?
As I mentioned , I work instinctively . It may seem strange , but there was no “ source of inspiration ” as you saw it , at least no clear source in my mind . Thus for this work , I chose black first . Spontaneously , I painted mostly black spaces . Then a red was decreed , was resolved . This was followed by a yellowish white light , which provided a glimmer of hope in this semi-darkness . The dominant black was very present .
