served me as a swing . When I felt hurt , I took comfort in the shade of the chinaberry tree , nature which has and still is a source of comfort .
Many of your pieces have a symmetrical perspective to them and quite varied contrast in light and dark colors . Also , we see a recurring theme of straight lines in some of your paintings as My silence that accentuate one-point perspective . Can you describe how you determine the particular subject matter when you create ?
I set the theme of the work in the early planning of the work . In most cases , however , I do not plan what to paint and how to paint it but rather feel it in both my body and mind - emotions lead the first steps of the painting , and as I am working on the canvas , I deliberately stop and look and check what the images represent or symbolize to me . After a thorough observation on life and my work , I set the theme that will lead to the creation and progress of the painting . As you indicated , some of my pieces have light and darkness indicating a contrast . This is a deliberate choice since according to my perception , difficulties and pain represent the darkness in the painting , yet in every dark spot , I added a point of light as a metaphor . In " My Silence ", the movement of the image and the absence of the mouth create a greater and more powerful silence . The gap between the unpleasant / tough experiences and the colorful spectrum of my works - expresses the manner in which I chose to deal with some difficult realities .
The effective combination between both delicate and thoughtful nuances of tones sums up the mixture of thoughts and emotions . How much does your own psychological make-up determine the nuances of tones you decide to use in a piece ? Moreover , any comments on your choice of " palette " and how it has changed over time ?
My psychological makeup is a barometer of my work , through which I express my feelings . Fabric is the platform that “ receives ” my thoughts and my state of mind . It is possible to notice some differences between the formation of a cloud and of silence . as an example : in “ Clouds ” contains light and open space for the soul , whereas in “ Silence ” is it clear that the space is dense and cramped , expressing inner emotional burden .
