Q&A WITH / LITTLE CREATIVE FACTORY Q: The flow between the baby, kid, and adult lines is so well orchestrated and seems effortless. Can you tell us about your design process and what you take into consideration as you’re designing for multiple generations? My design process starts with an inspiration: a movie, a picture, a place, a song, etc. The emotions and art (in any of its expressions) are very important to me. In most of the cases, art has been the starting point. Movies from my childhood have inspired me for the last two winter collecti ons ‘The Dream House’ and ‘Nostalghia’. But, also a trip or a journey can transmit lot of feelings and emotions that allow me to imagine a new collection, with different volumes, shapes or colours. Little’s pieces are timeless. They don’t follow any trend. My garments are versatile, they have been designed to be worn in different ways, you can combine or lay different pieces of the collection. ‘Little’ clients (woman, boy or girl) may express their own personality through my garments. It is just about feeling comfortable and well with oneself. With Little there are no rules; play with the garments! designed for Little Creative Factory? When Ona, my daughter, was a baby, I started designing and sewing little caps for her. I used to buy fabrics with Japanese patterns at that time to create little bonnets. They became very successful among friends and relatives, a lot of mums asked me where I had bought them, so a crazy idea –or perhaps a dreamcame to my mind and Little Q: What was the first thing you Creative Factory was born. Q: Do you have a favorite item from the current collection? I really can’t tell you only one, because each item is for me a little piece of art created with the same passion and love, but this season you will find the black & white check shirt dress, an iconic piece of Little. It has been one of our bestsellers, with a simple but very feminine line and with its timeless pattern, the design is just wonderful.
