Anneke Koekkoek is along way from Holland where she grew up. Now she is free as a bird living in KRV. She was a hit when she brought out a mess of water colors, brushes and paper for a hands on demonstration on how to paint with watercolors. Watercolor painting is one of thoes things that either you got it or you don't. The ones who get it are really good and then some are out of this world. Anneke makes it look so effortless, the shading, skintones, and color blending. Anneke gave us some tips on how to paint using only 3 colors: red, yellow and blue and never white or black. She said to relax and work on small sections at a time then let it dry before you continue.

Those of you who know art will recognize that some of the most exquisite painters in the world are part of the Koekkoek family. Anneke is no exception. Here are a few samples of her work.
