Running a business is not easy and top notch organizational skills are a must! Besides these skills, a VP should also have at least an Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field. Shelley recommends that anyone wanting to get into the field also register or become certified by taking one of the paralegal association certification exams, or registering with their state, if it offers certification or registration. “Having the designation Certified Paralegal lends more credibility to a paralegal and will help potential clients will feel more comfortable hiring 32 someone they have never met,” says Shelley.
