"LOOK UP HERE, I'M IN HEAVEN... Words fail me to describe the emptiness that I - and the whole
world - feel right now at the loss of a great and talented artist named David Bowie.
He influenced me in so many ways, in both my artistic and my personal life, that I can only thank
him and tell how he helped me change my life.
Artistically, David Bowie showed me that you must have the courage to break several rules imposed
by society and not fear the changes. The comfort zone is a perfect field for the death of creativity.
He showed me in his artistic expressions - whether it was music, fashion, visual arts or cinema that it's good to focus on your personal desires and not what the public wants. Your own
satisfaction is much more important than the ephemeral flame of fame and success.
Personally, David Robert Jones turned out to be someone who knew how and what to show in the
media: his art. His personal life was his own business and what matters in the end is faith in
yourself and in God, your art and the people you love.
He fought bravely and gracefully against his illness without begging attention - likes, twerks and
empty applause - from the increasingly hungry world.
He will forever influence my projects, artistic and personal decisions and I know that wherever he
is, his light and artistic legacy will shine like a star for future generations.
