Q. What are the challenges of competing with the chain-store
eyeglass outlets?
A. These days independent shops are not only competing with
chain-stores, but online businesses as well. I feel that it is paramount for me to maintain my focus on my passion, and have
faith that my clients will discern the intrinsic value of my
dedication to my work
Amidst the towering high-rises, sea of suits, and hustle
bustle of the Toronto Financial District, you will find Zoom
Optical. Founder Monica So, has made it her priority to
provide an exceptionally tailored experience for each and
every one of her clients. Whether you want to make a
statement with a bold colourful look, or seek comfort and
simplicity with a safer style choice, Monica will ensure that
you leave the shop with a pair of glasses that are just
the right fit.
Q. What are some of the benefits of operating an independent
outlet?
A. One of the main benefits of running my independent business
is the personalized experience I am able to offer to my clients.
I’m an advocate for the importance of precise measurements,
when it comes to finding the right fit for my clients. It’s so important to consider the shape and size of the frames, as well as the
type of lenses and the final adjustments. This process involves
a few different procedures to get just right, but this effort can
make such a significant difference.
