Comprehensive Housing Activities for Neighborhood Growth & Enrichment
C . H . A . N . G . E . is Coming
The City of Dubuque has recently launched a multi-faceted program called Comprehensive Housing Activities for Neighborhood Growth & Enrichment ( C . H . A . N . G . E .). The program involves neighborhood revitalization , an extension of sustainability to specifically address marginal properties , affordable housing , and homeownership . Its mission is building community enrichment through a collective / collaborative impact of programs , partnerships , and services designed to provide economic and social resiliency . Millions of dollars will be invested and hundreds of homes will be affected under this program and its many aspects . “ We are doing something big here , we are doing something that matters ,” said Housing and Community Development Director Alvin Nash . “ We are clearly addressing issues and not just reacting to problems in the community .”
