Meeting the traders has become our favourite part of the job. This time I headed to the
Victoria warehouse in Manchester (very cool!) to chat with lovely people and be
overwhelmed by all the vintage goodness.

‘I sell handmade hair accessories made
from reclaimed material with a bit of a
vintage theme. I make everything
myself, so as this my first fair, it seemed
a little scary at first but it’s really really
good! Very busy, so I’m definitely
planning to do more. I’m looking forward
to summer - I have bought some
dresses and I’m hoping to make a bit
more money today so I can go and have
a bit of a shopping spree here.’

Cheryl Horsley from Arubia Vintage
‘I sell handpicked vintage treasures for
women – accessories, jewellery and try
to find one-off pieces. I bring my stall to
Judy’s events as often as I can, but I’m
opening a shop near Liverpool at the
moment so I can’t do them as often as
I’d like, which is a shame -they are so
well established and they always offer
you a great platform. And there’s always
something amazing to buy for yourself as
well. I’ve just bought a 70’s pastel suit with
a matching belt. It’s like a top with a maxi
skirt, I can’t wait to wear it!’
