Judy’s Digest loves... In each issue of the Digest we pick an independent brand who are channeling the spirit of vintage to create something new. This month, Jenessa is focusing in on our sassy friends in the south... History: Sass & Belle started in Covent Garden in Central London in the 90s. A little market stall became a shop, one shop became two shops, two became three, and then they started to sell online. ABOVE:Fox and Owl Cushions - Sass&Belle, £16.25 each Bedding - Home Bargains, £9.99 for Double Other Cushions - Handmade , Jenessa’s Own. BELOW: English Garden stacking suitcases - Sass&Belle, £19.95 for pack of three Wicker Basket - Jenessa’s own. Available at: sassandbelle.co.uk, Urban Outfitters concessions and at their flagship stores in London’s Covent Garden, West End and in the British Museum. What To Expect: Taking inspiration from vintage flloras and faunas, Sass & Belle specialise in cute’n’quaint homewares, gifts and decorations. We’re particularly in love with their Paddy The Fox cushion (styled above), a thick orange felt face perfectly accentuated with floral ears. Too cute! We’d also recommend their pretty stacking boxes (left) which come in a variety of patterns and prints. In fact, pretty much anything from their new ‘vintage floral’s range would make a great gift, if you can bear to give them away! Fashion Fact: According to Sass & Belle store manager Anh, Paris Hilton once shopped in the store: “She bought lots of butterflies, spending more than £200!” loves it! 14
