Kelmendi has won two European Championship gold medals, two World Championship gold medals and an Olympic gold medal.
She belongs to an elite group of 24 judokas who won a World Junior title and went on to become Olympic champion as well.
She has won three editions of the Paris Grand Slam. Only eight others have managed to do this, all of them French players except for Megumi Tachimoto of Japan.
