Operational
Readiness
OUR OPERATIONAL READINESS TEAM WORKS
EACH DAY TO PLAN FOR THE PATIENT TOWER’S
OPENING DAY, SO WE ARE FULLY READY, HAVING
THE RIGHT PEOPLE IN THE RIGHT PLACE, AT
THE RIGHT TIME, WORKING WITH THE RIGHT
EQUIPMENT AND TECHNOLOGY, WITH THE RIGHT
PROCESS, TO PROVIDE A SEAMLESS TRANSITION
AND EXPERIENCE FOR OUR STAFF AND PATIENTS.
PLANNING AND PREPARING
Our Operational Readiness team work alongside our
programs, staff and partners to plan and prepare for
how everyone will function in the new patient tower,
providing an exceptional patient experience. The work
they do is instrumental to the hospital’s success and
have made significant progress over the last year as
we get closer to move-in. The team works closely with
35 programs across the organization to plan, support
and monitor their progress in advancing the necessary
work to successfully transition to the new tower and
then deliver care in their new spaces. This work done
with the departments is essential – this year, staff from
departments like Pharmacy and Surgery have selected
Program Champions, who focus on the department’s
process and flow, equipment training, technology and
move plans. Additional Program Champions will be
used with more departments as we move closer to
project completion.
35
PROGRAMS ARE PLANNING FOR
HOW THEY WILL
EACH DELIVER CARE
WHEN THE PATIENT TOWER IS OPEN.
