based on the word of God produce positive results. If you look at the glass as half empty, it will be just that, half empty. The Bible says "As a man thinks, so is He" Psalm 23:7. But if you can find scriptures with which you can speak God's promises on your life, then you are speaking these better things into existence e.g. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me", Phil 4:13. Do not be upset about something that will exist only for a season. Everyone has a bad season and storms they have to get through, but do not allow the season to hold you back. Own your season, gather and share your wisdom this season, and grow from your season. Seasons have to change, and you’ll have a better season coming your way. Allow me to tell you about some places you can find money you already have. BUDGET Many people don’t realize that there are many places inside your budget that you may be overspending and can minimize. In my husband’s and my budget, we found extra money in groceries, TV entertainment, and electricity. Cutting costs in your budget will produce money for other things. We have cut down from $400+ on groceries to $150-$200. We also eliminated cable and bought electric heaters and fans to decrease our energy costs. In total, we save about $300-$400 each month just by cutting costs in our budget. That’s $3,600-$4,800 saved each year! HABITS Everyone has something that they have a habit of spending money on that could probably bring them much more revenue each month. We have a habit of overspending on fast food and buying things we don’t need. Once we stopped buying fast food all the time and eating at home more frequently, not only did we get healthier, but we saved about $100 each month. We also stopped buying little knick knacks that we did not need so often. It is okay to buy things you want every now and then, but it should never be excessive. I remember my husband coming home with random things and I asked him why he bought them. His response was always, “I don’t know.” If an item is not going to bring value to your life, don’t invest in it. This means those random shopping sprees you do can’t happen every month. Resist! Eliminate your spending temptations to make yourself richer. JASMINE'S PLACE 27
