We had a great time chatting with them. One of them was from Yokohama and was also attending the Tokyo shows. We would later catch up in Saitama.

The weekend came and I was happy to see the brothers Shunji and Mitsuaki again who flew in from Fukuoka. I was also introduced to them by way of Shino and I visited their hometown on my first Japan trip. I got to Saitama reuniting with them along with Rie. It was wonderful seeing them again. Shortly after, a couple of our friends, Kyoko and Regina joined in. Regina had flown in from Canada last night and also had just seen the shows in Honolulu. I first met Regina during 2011 Number Ones Tour in Florida and we crossed paths again at the Unbreakable opening night in Vancouver and then met up again for the Toronto show. She’s always wearing super cool outfits to the tour.

Shunji being so creative and crafty presented each of us, a T-shirt that said BurnItUp and a large 1814 pin to wear. Shunji also designed an incredible special accolade to give to Janet. It had the Unbreakable album cover, the black eagle mounted on the top and Rhythm Nation Records logo acting as the platform. There was also a special message by Shunji engraved on the trophy thanking Janet for returning to Japan and how thrilled he was for that.

We went to the venue to check out MyMusicVIP. Regina was attracting a lot of attention with her Parasuco black jacket that had Janet Unbreakable text on the back along with the eagles on the side. It looked fabulous. Fans wanted pictures with her showing off the jacket. I was stunned at the Janet-like outfits that many were wearing. I saw a large group wearing outfits matching 2009 MTV VMA Tribute, and a few ladies wearing costumes from the All For You era. A lot of them are dancers themselves and adore Janet and Michael. There was 2 ladies that I bumped into who were Janet impersonators, having the hair and outfit. They looked stunning. They showed me videos of their Janet performances. There were tons of colourful signs that fans made and brought with them. It was a fantastic scene meeting and talking with other fans. There was so much passion from the Japanese to celebrate Janet’s concert and her return to their country.
