LAS VEGAS, NEVADA Just a few miles away from the glitz, glamour and gambling of the Las Vegas strip, there’s a different kind of action going on at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Originally opened for business in 1996, the track underwent a recon?guration in 2006, increasing banking from 12 degrees to a pulse-quickening 20 degrees. This increase allows for more side-by-side racing and ensures that each and every lap will take your breath away. Though its history is short, the Las Vegas Motor Speedway has already amassed a memorable collection of close races and big winners, with 2010 Driver of the Year Jimmie Johnson leading the pack at four total track wins.
