four quarters (lengthways), simply marking each quarter
along the touchline (ie. with a jumper/cone). The offensive
team still starts on the edge of their end zone and they
have x number of downs to at least move into the next
quarter. If, after x downs, they haven’t at least advanced
into the next quarter, the play turns over. If they do get
into another quarter, their downs reset (ie. back to first
down). This is a bit more like NFL rules, where each team
gets four downs just to advance 10 yards.
