JAX MVP 2016 INAUGURAL CLASS
MESSAGE FROM THE JAGUARS FOUNDATION PRESIDENT
This community report is all about what it means to
be supportive of one another. That’s what neighbors
do! From Jaguars Owner Shad Khan to players, coaches, cheerleaders, staff and fans, we are proud to be a
part of this great community. We are excited that the
Jaguars family is continually growing, from Jacksonville
to South Georgia, Daytona Beach to Central Florida and
west to Tallahassee.
Our commitment to our expanding fan base also continues to grow, as the Jaguars Foundation provided more
than $2.2 million in grants to area nonprofit organizations in the last year. In partnership with the NFL, the
Jaguars provided a $100,000 grant to Nassau County
to add another community football field at the Yulee
Sports Complex. We also honored Neighbor to Family, a
non-profit organization headquartered in Daytona, Fla.,
as the Jaguars Ed Block Courage House in recognition of
their important work to support siblings in foster care.
These initiatives are made possible through the generosity of our owner, the NFL, the Jaguars corporate
partners, local business community and fans. It begins
with the Khan family, who provide a contribution of
more than $1.2 million dollars annually. Florida Blue,
the Jaguars’ official community partner, leads the
team’s corporate support and is assisted by the generosity of many others featured in this Community Report.
Additionally, our incredibly loyal and gracious fans play
a crucial role in our local outreach efforts by purchasing
50/50 Jackpot tickets or spinning the prize wheel on
game day, running in our Stadium Challenge 5-K and
playing in the Jaguars Foundation golf tournament.
On behalf of the Khan family, Jaguars Team President
Mark Lamping and the entire Jaguars family, please
accept our utmost appreciation for the opportunity to
partner with you in creating the next great chapter in
the story of the Jacksonville Jaguars and the City of
Jacksonville.
Sincerely,
Peter Racine
JAX MVP PROGRAM
In 2016, the Jacksonville
Jaguars and US Assure created
a new initiative called JAX
MVP, a unique opportunity for
a select group of emerging
leaders to engage in exclusive networking and personal
development opportunities,
and grow their community
trustee skills by supporting
the Jaguars Foundation
and Jacksonville community
through fundraising activities.
The inaugural class of 24 local
emerging leaders had access
to unique leadership and community stewardship development opportunities, including
workshops with key Jaguars
and community leaders, such
as Jaguars President Mark
Lamping, Head Coach Gus
Bradley and General Manager
David Caldwell.
As a group, the inaugural
