Hometown Huddle
YMCA Initiative
For more than 30 years, the
NFL and United Way have
partnered to help build stronger, healthier communities,
each fall, the Jaguars partner
with United Way of Northeast
Florida for a hands-on community service project called
Hometown Huddle. Children
from United Way programs
have a chance to spend time
with their favorite Jaguar
players as they participate in
fitness activities and community service projects to show
the importance of healthy
living and giving back to the
community.
With the new Winston Family
YMCA facility opening up
on Riverside Ave, which will
focus on reducing chronic
illnesses such as cancer,
stroke, heart disease and
diabetes, the Jacksonville
Jaguars will be sponsoring
the 7,800 square foot Jacksonville Jaguars Gymnasium equipped with a full
basketball court, two short
courts and a volleyball court.
The Jaguars are also a proud
sponsor of the Y’s corporate
games, an annual event that
combines healthy living
and friendly competition.
The YMCA is also a Jaguars
partner in providing childcare
for players on game day and
supporting our Junior Jags
program geared towards our
young fans.
