YOUTH FOOTBALL Community Football Fields 7-on-7 Passing Challenge Mom’s Clinic Through a partnership with the NFL, LISC-Jacksonville, local city and county governments, non-profit organizations and youth football associations, the Jaguars organization has constructed 13 safe and accessible community football fields throughout Northeast Florida. The Jaguars hosted their annual Jaguars 7-on-7 Passing Challenge with 16 area high school football teams participating in the tournament. This event is designed to sharpen the skills of young athletes while giving them an early dose of competition as they prepare for the high school football season. More than 200 North Florida area moms took part in the Jaguars annual Mom’s Clinic. This free USA Heads Up Football clinic focused on educating moms on proper equipment fitting, concussion awareness, heat exhaustion and hydration. Moms and their athletes practiced Heads Up Tackling and football related drills to better understand how to play the game in a safe manner. This event is part of a series of community Football Safety Clinics. Last year, Shad Khan announced a significant increase in the team’s commitment to support local youth football through the renovation and construction of 10 new or refurbished football fields over three years. This year, two new fields in Jacksonville and one field in Yulee, Nassau County, were built.
