Mercury Poinsoning:
Symptoms of a Sick
Man
Joyce Wheeler
Dean: Only for a day or two, but at that point I
welcomed any relief, it was better than nothing.
Joyce: How about your sicknesses did those
increase or stay the same?
Dean: They increased a little every year. I started
to experience unexplained fevers a couple times a
year.
Joyce: Where there any other issues besides the
fevers?
Dean: I was experiencing tingling in my extremities,
hands, feet.
Joyce: Do you mean your hands and feet feel
asleep more often?
Dean: No, it was just a light tingling it was different.
Joyce: So, how did you do in school?
Approximately 25% of all Americans are
experiencing symptoms from heavy metal
poisoning. Many are diagnosed with a health
issue they do not have. More over they are also
prescribed medication for said issue and therefore
deal with the side effects from them. There are two
reasons for this, the first being that the symptoms
of heavy metal poisoning are vast and one person’s
symptoms may be different from another with a
few similarities. The second is that doctors are not
trained to test for heavy metal poisonings. This is
the story of a man named Dean who dealt with
heavy metal poisoning for the majority of his life.
Joyce: So, Dean how was your health as a child let’s
say from birth to say age eleven.
Dean: During this time period my mother often
commented to others that I was a very healthy
child. I only dealt with mild issues which usually
stemmed from contact with the other kids at
school and that was once a year. However it is
important to add that I had mild allergies to dust
and pollen which led to a runny nose, watery eyes,
and at times sneezing.
at this point I started visiting the dentist twice a
year and just about every visit led to an amalgam
filling. By age sixteen I had ten of these fillings. It
was during this time I started experiencing health
issues I never had before.
2 to 3 times and even then I could not remember
what I read. This is something that would not
happen all the time, but would come and go.
Joyce: So, what happened after your high school
years?
Dean: I graduated high school and went straight
into the vocational technical school for electronics,
which was something I had a great interest in and
enjoyed.
Joyce: How did you do there?
Dean: The ability to retain issue followed me. To
let you know how random this issue was I was
passing all of my tests until one day at test time my
mind went blank. My instructor approached me
and asked me what happened. He said I know you
know this, I told him my mind became foggier than
an evening in London.
Joyce: Did you seek medical advice on this matter
or the tingling?
Joyce: What kind of health issues?
Dean: An increase in allergies even to certain
foods which I never had before. I developed an
allergy to the deodorant I had been using for
about four years. It caused a rash which itched
and burned. I started using a variety of different
deodorants and finally discovered that I could not
use any that were high endurance or long lasting.
I started experiencing excessive belching and
stomach discomfort after eating dairy, a visit to the
doctor led to the diagnoses of me being lactose
intolerant. By the time I was a senior in high school
I was visiting the eye, ear, nose, and throat doctor
for my increased allergies about once a month,
which led to taking cortisone shots once a month,
something being sprayed in my nose and back of
my throat, and two packets of small pills.
Joyce: Did this bring relief?
Joyce: At what age did you notice a difference in
the frequency of sicknesses?
Dean: Temporarily.
