Earthdance
Earthdance is the world’s largest synchronized music and dance event for peace .
Over 1500 people attended the Johannesburg event. Krishna Balarama Youth
Group and ISKCON Sandton were there in full force. Upon arrival, we heard
shouting, "whooooohooo the Hare Krishna’s are here." Everyone was excited and
very open to Krishna consciousness.
KBYG had a chill zone set up which was perfectly situated in the middle of the
venue and acted as the base for the weekend. Activities included 6 hours of kirtan,
face painting and henna for the guests while they listened and chanted. The
devotees had a small book table set up and very enthusiastically greeted and
discussed Krishna Consciousness with the inquisitive and intrigued guests,
It was a great kirtan party, with lots of preaching and an eye opener seeing how
many people are searching for a higher purpose.
Great memories were made and love and peace was felt all round.
