I had the amazing opportunity to speak with UTI-Houston's President, Darrin Brust. Brust stated that "UTI is designed to achieve the highest student achievement. The facility is filled with staff that genuinely cares for thier students." Ben, a

former student, stated, "After leaving the military, UTI became an experience with ultimate goals. The facility is not just a school but a preparation ground for a future career." Instructors take the time to build relationships with students and guide them in their career paths. They allow you to handle multi-million dollar equipment with ease. They allow you to practice and mentor you through the entire process. In addition, Ben stated that his experience with UTI changed his life. He is now working in the oil and gas industry. My question was, how does one train in transporation and transition to oil and gas? Ben stated, "It is an application component that UTI instills in every student. The ability to apply knowledge while problem solving." As of today, Ben is a very highly paid graduate student from Universal Technical Institute.
