He shares that after 6 years in the Army, including an overseas tour in Iraq, he picked up the guitar and the memory kind of hit like a hammer, and he hasn't set the guitar down since then. That was 3 years ago. CeeJ: The time you are dedicating to your music is really paying off. Last year you were nominated for the GA MUSIC AWARDS for “Country Male Artist of the Year”. That is an accomplishment in such a short period of time--3 years. You must really communicate to the fans in a great way to have been nominated. TB: The GMA nomination was an absolute blessing and my fans are the most amazing people in the world. I was shocked and completely humbled to be a part of something so amazing and to be in such great company with the other nominees. I try my best to stay in contact with anyone who enjoys my music. My fans input and reaction are a major part of why I keep putting the pen to paper and the pick to strings. Tyler laughs as he talks about the journey from the first song he wrote until now.
