MORENO’S side project PALMS
made their final stop on the 2014
Fall Tour. El Paso embraces Chino
as if he was one of their own--hence
the turnout of Thursday night’s
show. Needless to say, he has a
very dedicated fan base here.
The crowd was entranced and hung
on his every note during the 75
minute set. He has come here three
times in less than a year’s time with
another side project called
CROSSES, and of course, THE
DEFTONES--and I was lucky enough
to shoot all three shows.
Chino is best known for founding
The Deftones in 1988, as well as his
distinctive screams, his soothing
tenor voice and melodic singing. In
2007, he was ranked number 51
out of Hit Parader’s “Top Metal
Vocalists of All Time”.
