Speed: She had A LOT to do with that. JP: However, he has to see something special in you guys. Speed: Yes, yes he does. He does. His wife was the first one to see us. She was like, “My God, you have to meet my husband.” When she brought him out to a show, he said, “This is angry music.” And I was like, “That’s cool, it was nice meeting you.” I ran into him at a few national shows. Then he would come to see, like, every other show we had. We became friends before I really knew who he was. I had dinner with him a few times and he would say about how this band got discovered and how this band got discovered. I said, “Like David Snowden could help out SilverTung.” He said, “We’ll talk.” He heard the album and said, “Wow, this is better than I thought it was.” He deserves credit for showing us things we didn’t recognize. He has a lot of credibility with a lot of people and that’s gonna play out for us later on. JP: The Baltimore scene has a lot of talented bands. CHARM CITY DEVILS have had some commercial success. SilverTung is one of the most talented bands in the Baltimore scene. What do you think makes you feel SilverTung can carry the torch for Baltimore? Speed: I was hoping that they would and they still may. They’re coming out with their next album and hopefully they will carry the torch. If we get the honor to carry the torch, I think that’ll be great. Do I think that we can? Certainly. We’re not ready for that yet. This band is not ready for that. We still need to earn, we need to earn our place…and one day soon, we will. Danno: We might have already earned our place and just don’t realize it. We don’t think we have. We are definitely our biggest critics. We hold ourselves to a higher standard. I believe we are talented enough to carry the torch, so to speak. JP: Is there anything you’d like to add? Speed: I don’t know…I was waiting for you to come out with another question. You have really good questions. I’m like, wow these aren’t the typical questions. JP: They aren’t supposed to be. Speed: That’s good. That’s good. Everyone tends to ask the same questions. Danno: What I’d like to add is thank you. Thank you to anyone who has stuck with us, that has taken this journey with us. Thank you to the TungNation for being there through all of the trials and tribulations. You’ve been around this whole time…thank you, a big thank you. JP: I do have one more…life is music. What does that mean to you? Speed: Life is about music, whether you are a listener or a player. Think of the life we would have without music. Music is the connection we have with each other.
