Jessica’s individuality is colored with many influences. Among her favorites: “Led Zeppelin IV", JENNY LEWIS’S "Acid Tongue", NEIL YOUNG’S "Harvest," LUCIUS’S "Wildewoman," and SPOON’S "They Want My Soul" (a little “Old School Rock” with some new releases to vary it up). At this point in time, you should not expect to hear much Country twang from Jessica. “I tend to just write what comes out, and that may be a Blues song, or a folksy lullaby, or an Indie Rock/Vintage Pop song, depending on how I'm feeling at the time and who I'm co-writing with. I'm trying not to limit myself to particular genres as a musician, especially this early in the game. Whoa Dakota is often times the effort of me with other musicians.” Jessica loves the place and people whom she is surrounded by in Music City, USA, “I'm baffled everyday by how happy I am to be living here. It's got all of the perks of a big city, but everyone knows everyone, which is great for up-and-coming musicians who are trying to network. I work on this project daily like it's my job in hopes that one day it WILL BE my full time job! If you can't tell, I'm pretty excited about it.” So are we! Watch out world--and be on the lookout for more music and videos from Whoa Dakota. The future has yet to be written for the lovely Jessica Ott. https://www.whoadakota.com https://www.facebook.com/whoadakotamusic http://www.reverbnation.com/whoadakota http://whoadakotamusic.tumblr.com/
