EVE (CAROLE GYNAN), a veteran of the stage, is a “stand out” in an overly-saturated arena of female-fronted
Metal acts. Her vocals are brazen and unapologetically bold. By her side is her husband, ERIC, the guitarist,
songwriter, keyboards and founder of LEAVING EDEN--who also lends his bold vocals to several songs.
My interest peaked, I got in contact with ERIC GYNAN of Leaving Eden and asked to chat about the band.
But first, let’s meet “the players”…
EVE (Lead Vocals): Eve started performing at an early age with COLOR GUARD, performing in front of
thousands of people. Eve's parents always had music playing since birth so this really helped her to become
who she is. Eve is down to earth, friendly, approachable and yes "Universal". She met Eric for an audition
and the rest is history. Eric heard something in her voice that was very unique, and it was after the first 100
people came to Eric and said how great she was, it was then that Eric decided to embark on bringing her to
the top. It's been a long road, as stated in the lyrics of Leaving Eden's song, "Tied and Bound": “We've
been screwed, overcharged, underpaid and abused, We've been avoided, exploited and falsely accused,
We've been cut down, let down, fucked around, tied and bound, but nothing could take the music away”.

ERIC GYNAN: (Guitar/Vocals): Eric's roots run deep with a Great-Grandfather LUIGI AMATO in Italy with his
own orchestra and another Great Gran-dad WALTER BRUEGGEMANN in Germany with his own orchestra.
Recently, The German Philharmonic Orchestra released a version of Eric's Great Grandfather’s songs. Music
therefore is genuinely in Eric's blood. Eric is Leaving Eden's songwriter. Interesting Note; Eric is related to
GEORGE WASHINGTON through his cousin JACOB WASHINGTON.
