The Boutique Chalet Company officially launches with the aim of delivering accommodation to discerning ski travellers that offers the exclusivity and exceptional service more typical of ‘Mayfair’ resorts like Verbier and Val d’Isère. The Boutique Chalet Company is owned and run by British couple Chris and Sarah Hamblin. A longstanding ambition to set up their own business, combined with a passion for property and hospitality, led them to leave their London careers and head for the French Alps in 2010. After running a catered chalet for a winter season, they discovered Morzine and recognised an opportunity to establish a new luxury ski travel brand. Chris comments: “We chose Morzine because it is a fantastic, traditional, yearround alpine town that has real character, unlike a purposebuilt resort. It has also long been a firm favourite as a family ski destination and there is a gap in the market for a top-end operator. “Recent investment in new lifts, facilities, restaurants and bars is also set to elevate the town’s status in the luxury ski market.” The Boutique Chalet Company’s flagship property, Chalet M, oozes contemporary elegance and is furnished with designer pieces and artworks sourced from around the world. The deeply luxurious chalet, which sleeps 14, is exceptionally spacious, covering 350 sq m, and sits high on the sunny side of Morzine with panoramic views across the town to the ski slopes beyond.
