A FRESH INSIGHT Wo r d s : L y n n N i c h o l s o n J ulie Bladon is a lady who has really walked the walk to bring her to her current destination, travelling, absorbing, learning and now sharing with all that she meets and helping others to reach their full potential, across all ages. When researching people it is always of great interest to me how they came to be where they are and often it is through a completely different journey that their true vocation was found and this is the case with Julie. Julie, whilst studying at university, was searching for a way to de-stress, to unwind and ultimately she discovered yoga. She then went onto discover all the associated health benefits and from there a new journey began. That was 20 years ago and her continued learning has been extensive. Julie’s exploration of the healing arts has taken her far and wide. Her journey began in Australia when she was called to study Hawaiian massage (Lomi Lomi). She has made repeated trips back to Queensland to continue her studies and has had the honour to study with Papa K, a Hawaiian elder, in Hawaii. She went onto completed her yoga teacher training at the Sivananda Yoga Meenakshi Ashram in Madurai, www.internationallifestylemagazine.com Southern India. She continues to pursue her education in yoga and the healing arts. This ongoing process of learning is what provides the fresh insights that inspire her work. Recent studies and workshops have included Core Strength Vinyasa Yoga with Sadie Nardini; Applied Anatomy for Yoga Teachers and Management of Injuries with Nancy Braithwaite; Journey to the Heart of Yoga with Yogrishi Vishvketu; plus workshops with Neville Cregan, Bill Wood and Caroline Lang. Balance, healthy breathing, asana, meditation and deep relaxation are a key focus in her yoga teaching. Julie creates a sacred and safe space for students and clients to reach their full potential. You will leave her classes or massage room feeling renewed, rejuvenated and calm. These Her yoga classes will support not just good exercise for the body but a focus on your overall wellbeing and clarity of mind.
